Education is Utahns’ top priority this legislative session, according to a new poll published today on UtahPolicy.com. Twenty-one percent of the respondents said education is their No. 1 concern. Taxes, in comparison, are the top concern for 10 percent of the respondents. Healthcare and the economy follow education on the list of 14 possible responses, which also include unemployment, immigration, fiscal responsibility and government operations.
Dan Jones and Associates conducted the poll of 509 registered voters. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percent.
