Teachers who need to renew or upgrade a license have a new requirement this year, completing an online ethics review. The new requirement is the result of a legislative audit and Utah State Board of Education action to ensure Utah’s teachers have professional training in ethics.
The new requirement went live Jan. 3 and fliers were sent out earlier this month to alert those with expiring licenses that they must complete the review by June 30. So far 2,484 have been completed.
The ethics review is free and a complete explanation of the process is online at www.utah.gov/teachers.

I have reviewed the ethics standards. I found most of it to be understandable and worthy of review.
