Video details school bus anti-idling campaign

The Utah State Office of Education benefitted from a federal grant to reduce school bus idling. The initiative removed more than 5,000 pounds of air pollution from the atmosphere and saved 92,000 gallons of diesel and thousands of dollars in fuel costs when 3,000 bus drivers in 40 school districts reduced their idling time by 21 minutes per day during the 2008-09 school year. Watch a video explaining how the program worked.
