During its regular meeting on Sept. 7, 2012, the Utah State Board of Education: Accepted a decision from Utah Utah State Superintendent of Public Instruction Larry K. Shumway to retire on Jan. 1. The Board formed a committee to being work on finding a replacement. Reviewed the latest statewide criterion-referenced test results in language arts, math, and science.
