Teacher of the Year Finalist Allison P. Riddle

Allison P. Riddle, a fifth grade teacher at Foxboro Elementary School, is the fourth finalist (in alphabetical order) for the 2014 Utah Teacher of the Year award.

Riddle was chosen as a finalist from among 23 nominations sent in from local school districts and charter schools. The winner of the award will be announced Oct. 4 at a banquet that will honor all district teachers of the year.

A committee of representatives from the Utah State Board of Education, Utah State Office of Education, principals, superintendents, the Utah PTA, the Utah Education Association and 2013 Utah Teacher of the Year Sara Hacken interviewed all five finalists.

The winner will receive a check for $10,000 and will compete with her fellow teachers of the year in a national competition.
