KUED Accepting Nominations for Teacher Innovation Awards
KUED is accepting nominations for the KUED Teacher Innovation Awards, which will recognize five Utah educators who use media and technology in innovative ways to improve students’ learning.
Educators from grades PreK-12 will be recognized in five key subject areas including arts, math, reading and language arts, science, and social studies.
Teachers who use iPads, Kindles, computers, cameras, smart phone, and online materials can be nominated by students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Teachers may also nominate themselves.
Technology, which has become an integral part of all of our lives, can be used in a variety of creative ways to help students learn and to increase classroom engagement. KUED will honor the five winning teachers by featuring them in a documentary celebrating Utah educators. Teachers will also receive a cash prize at an awards ceremony recognizing their contributions in Spring 2014.
Nominations will be accepted until December 31, 2013. Submission forms are online at kued.org/nominate.
