Field Trip Workshop at the National History Museum

What: A free workshop for K-12 teachers and their chaperones that informs participants on how to best utilize the museum
Saturday, May 3 from 9:30 to 11:30 AM

Where: The Natural History Museum of Utah (301 Wakara Way, Salt Lake City, UT 84108)

Join NHMU educators to learn first-hand how to use our exhibits and educational spaces to engage your students in scientific inquiry.  Teachers and chaperones will have the opportunity to become familiar with the Museum and the curriculum we’ve developed for your students to use while you’re here.  Walk away with information and resources to help make the most of your Field Trip to the Museum.

Plus, teachers will earn 2 relicensure points for attending!

Science Filmmaking Workshop

What: CSME’s third annual Filmmaking Workshop to train individuals who wish to use film to further science or math information.
May 5-7 for the Beginner Workshop and May 8-9 for the Follow-up Practicum

What: The University of California is discontinuing their partnership with NROC/HippoCampus
June 24, 2014

Many of you have been making use of the digital media from the NROC collections at and through our institutional NROC membership.  This message is to alert you that the University of California-copyrighted courses found under the NROC Collection will be removed from HippoCampus on June 24, 2014 to be exclusively distributed through their UC Scout program thereafter.  You may find alternative content in new collections at HippoCampus (and other sources your institution may offer).
