CTE Scholarship and Tuition Award Winners

On Tuesday, April 29, 2014, the 28th Annual Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholarships and Tuition Awards Banquet took place at Salt Lake Community College. This banquet is a longstanding tradition used to honor CTE students throughout the state who have been selected to receive a scholarship and tuition award from a postsecondary institution in Utah.

Each award recipient was one of 157 applicants who applied for a CTE Scholarship and Tuition Award. At the banquet, 96 scholarships were awarded to high school CTE seniors for up to one year’s tuition at a postsecondary institution.

Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides students with a seamless education system, from public education to postsecondary education, through competency-based instruction, culminating in essential life skills, certified occupational skills, and meaningful employment. CTE prepares students for careers that are most in demand and that are part of the economic development of the state of Utah.
