Utah State Safety Skill Competition Set Saturday for School Bus Drivers

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah State Office of Education will holds its annual Utah State Safety Skill Competition for the state’s school bus drivers on Saturday, May 10 in Park City. Bus drivers from throughout the state will be competing on a safety course.

The purpose of the event is to reinforce good safety practices among drivers, encourage communication between drivers about awareness and experience, recognize excellence in driver safety and raise public awareness about school bus safety issues. Drivers and experts from the Utah State Office of Education will be available for interviews.

WHAT: Utah State Safety Skill Competition, school bus driver skill competition

WHEN: Saturday, May 10. Registration begins at 9 a.m., competition begins at 10:30 a.m., awards will be presented at 2 p.m.

WHERE: Park City School District, 8460 N Bluebird Lane, Park City (take the Jeremy Ranch exit, 141, from I-80, head east of the freeway toward Jeremy Ranch, turn right on Rasmussen Road and left on Bluebird)
