Utah State Safety Skill Competition Set Saturday
for School Bus Drivers
SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah State Office of Education, in partnership with the Utah Association for Pupil Transportation, will holds its annual Utah State Safety Skill Competition for the state’s school bus drivers on Saturday, May 21 in West Jordan.
Bus drivers from throughout the state will be competing on a safety course. The purpose of the event is to reinforce good safety practices among drivers, encourage communication between drivers about awareness and experience, recognize excellence in driver safety and raise public awareness about school bus safety issues. Drivers from school districts and charter schools, and experts from the Utah State Office of Education will be available for interviews.

WHEN: Saturday, May 21. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., competition begins at 8:15 a.m. The event should end by 4 p.m.
