State Board of Education Meeting Summary: June 2, 2017

In its June 2 meeting, the Utah State Board of Education: Discussed the progress of public schools and education governance with Gov. Gary R. Herbert. Prioritized an audit of school fees among district and charter schools to look at equity and access issues for students. Agreed to exclude high school junior SAGE and ACT test results this year where schools could choose between the tests. The ACT scores will be used for school accountability reports beginning with the 2017-18 school year.
